Action Figure Doll

I'm trying to find a doll that was shorter than Ken doll. He had a beard and moveable parts and built- in, orange underwear. I do believe he had an ax (a lumberjack perhaps?). I thought he was a Swiss Family Robinson sort of doll but I can't remember. He was made in the early 80's. Oh, and he had wavy plastic hair. Help!!
